I love cooking since I was 10 years old. I never knew anything but I used to help my mom in the kitchen and used to see her doing things with great fun and quick. I always wanted to be like her. She always used to prepare delicious food for the family and she never gets tired doing all such things. Moms are actually amazing. We are 4 brother sisters and everybody has their own unique demands for every meals and mom used to fulfill all the demands at the same time. I always wanted to know the magic that mom used to do for preparing our favorite dishes in such short time.

Now I am a Mom and I understand how a mother can do anything so quickly. The love for your children can help you do anything for them. I know this blog is not about being emotional but sometimes it is okay to be emotional. Well the actual thing why I am missing my mom is holidays are over and it’s working time again. For this I have to wake up early and have to prepare all the food and have to rush to get my children ready for their school. I miss it when she used to cook for us, used to pack our lunch boxes and that too with a smile on her face every time. Then comes the turn of my husband, again I have to prepare breakfast for him and have to give him his lunch for his office. Ahh!! A bit tiring sometimes but it is okay if I am doing it for my family.

One day when I was reading a post for easy and quick Middle Eastern recipes I founded Middle Eastern Nachos. They are healthy and delicious and take only 30 minutes for preparation. I always try to find out things that can be prepared easily and in less time so that I should serve healthy and tasty food in the morning to my kids and my husband. See how I prepared Nachos easily and quickly.

What all you need for preparing Nachos?
  • Ground lamb - 3/4 pounds
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Kosher salt
  • 3-4 whole wheat pitas
  • Prepared spicy hummus - 1 cup
  • Crumbled feta Cheese - 1/2 cup
  • Fresh Flat leaves of parsley - 1/4 cup
Get ready to eat (Preparation)
  1. Take a small pan and keep it at moderate heating.
  2. Cook the lamb until it gets brown and cook for 7-8 minutes. Add salt and pepper to it.
  3. With the help of a slotted spoon, transfer the cooked lamb into a small bowl.
  4. With the help of fat, brush out the pita bread. Now cut this pita bread into 8 wedges and place on a sheet pan. Bake it until it gets golden.
  5. In a shallow baking dish, layer half of the pita wedges. Place half lamb, half hummus and half feta.
  6. Prepare one more layer in the similar order. Bake nachos in the oven until the cheese melts.
  7. Take it out from the oven and sprinkle with the parsley.
Serve and enjoy!
This is actually a mind blowing and healthy dish. You will definitely love it. Try it at your home. At once it might take a bit more time but when you get habitual you can prepare things easily in very short time.

I am a restaurant manager and I always wish to greet my visitors with inviting ambience, comfortable seats and most importantly delicious food. I can only retain my customers if I am providing them with what they are actually looking for. I always try to give something new to my guests. I do not keep my restaurant with the same arrangements for more than 2 months. I keep on changing the arrangements, the style and the interiors of my restaurant to make my visitors keep visiting the place. This generates the curiosity amongst them about what they are going to configure new every time they visit the place. 

In this blog I will tell you about what change did I introduced to my place and why. Also we will discuss how it benefitted me and my restaurant.

Introducing the concept of Outdoor Dining is one of the best ideas that have worked till date. Many ideas I tried, every idea worked equally but this outdoor dining gave an awesome impact. Earlier I used to make changes with the interiors in the restaurant just to introduce new looks to my place. One day a customer visited the place. She was from Australia only and she insisted me to serve the food outside the main hall. I said we do not serve our guests outside the main hall. You have to take your food inside only. But she insisted that the weather outside is very pleasant and I want to eat sitting and enjoying the amazing weather.

You won’t believe I served her the food in that lovely weather and she asked me to join her too. I thought why not to have some discussions on new ideas to be implemented for making my restaurant more unique and inviting. She suggested me that offer outdoor dining to your visitors. This will increase your total area, sitting area and also will allow your guests an opportunity to enjoy the food along with the weather. It clicked to me as a good idea and an innovative one. I did what she suggested and really it was an awesome idea and my visitors love to sit in the evening and enjoy their tea and snacks in the refreshing aroma of the fresh air.

That lady, her name is Sophie and she still visits my place very often. She was very happy to see the change when she visited the second time to my restaurant.

Kid’s Party Food ideas

Hey beautiful moms and dads, I am here again with some more plans. As you all know New Year is on the way and every restaurant, every hotel, every hook and corner is busy preparing party items for their guests. I too love eating outside especially when the whole world is celebrating. But most of the time what happens is we forget our kids during the time of celebration. Kids love visiting parties and enjoy the games but sometimes the restaurants do not provide the type of food that kids would relish. So what I planned for my kids is we will celebrate the New Year with the world but in our own way.

I asked my children to invite their friends at home for a New Year party. We will organize a party in the backyard of my home especially for kids during the daytime so that the kids could go with their parents in the evening. I love kids and I always wish happiness for every child in the world. This is the main reason I always organize such kiddo parties at my home. Their innocent and sweet smiles make me smile.

All set for the New Year party. This time I am preparing Chicken and mushroom pie and Blueberry and orange trifle. These two amazing dishes are loved by children. Blueberry and orange trifle is a layer upon layer of fresh cream and vanilla custard with the heaps of orange and blueberries this trifle is really mouth watering.  The next is Chicken and Mushroom pie; this ultimate dish made from thyme and wine is really a favourite of families and kids.

I am preparing both but in this blog I will share only one recipe with you. I will teach you how to prepare Blueberry and orange trifle. I am telling you the recipe for a single trifle. Have a quick look at the ingredients.
• Blueberry muffins - 6
• Oranges - 2
• Fresh blueberries – 200 gms
• Fresh vanilla custard - 250-500 gms
• Grand Marnier or Cointreau - 3-4 tbsp
• Whipping cream - 300ml

How you can prepare it?
1. Slice out the muffins and place them evenly in the serving dish.
2. Grate the rind of one orange and put it into the rind of the other orange. Peel out and segment the oranges and then squeeze the membranes for extracting any other juices.
3. Now mix the orange juice with the Grand Marnier and spread the spoon full of this mixture over the muffins. Scatter this over most of the blueberries and the orange segments. Now mix the finely grated orange with the custard and pour it on the muffins.
4. Beat the cream with soft hands until soft peaks are formed and then pour it over the trifle. Spread it over the remaining blueberries and keep the trifle in the freezer. Serve chilled.

Christmas is a magical time. It brings smile on everybody’s face. It is the time when everybody enjoys the parties and celebrations. This is the joyous time of the year. Even though I am a grown up lady now but by heart I will always remain a kiddo. I won’t ever let the kid in me die. Whenever you think of a party, you feel like dancing. It gives you a real fun when you add music to your party. It really sets the mood. When you play Booper’s songs for a kid’s party, kids love to dance on the beats. Kids Bops are great fun songs that are sung by kids and make children enjoy the party.

Now let me explain what I have planned for a Christmas party in the evening. I have two kids and they have many friends. My kids and I love to invite guest and celebrate things in our backyard. We were planning for this party since the start of the December. What all we have decided includes three dishes prepared by me, a Christmas cake and orange juice to drink. One of my kids will wear the outfit of Santa and will distribute gifts among the guest children. That is not all; we have organized a fashion show for the kids where they have to flaunt their winter collection. Woopie I am so excited for the party. I think I am more excited than my kids.

Now let me explain you the things clearly, I am preparing three dishes and the first dish is Pita Bread Pizza. This is a really interesting recipe to cook. Here you can show your real creativity. I enjoy topping the pizza and provide my kids with something new and unique every time. It serves as a great stuffing for kids. The next thing that comes is Jelly Pita Bread Sandwiches including peanut butter. This is a new twist with jelly and peanut butter. Kids are allowed to choose their favourite jelly and can design their own sandwich. This is the tastiest dish for any kind of a party. The third one is something sweet i.e. Hab el hab which is known as Cardamom Cookies in general. Which child does not like cookies? These are very easy to make and kids love them. I am preparing cookies in different shapes so that t would look more attractive and tempting to the kiddo gang.

We are also preparing the cake at home. We have decided to prepare a Santa cake i.e. the cake in the shape of Santa. This would look really exciting and good according to the occasion. My kids are helping me in making these party preparations. I am so loving it.


Everything is set; the music, songs, decorations, food and drinks. Now let’s pray for a wonderful party. I am sure that we are going to rock it.

Hello readers. I am here again with a completely new and a hearty dish of the Middle East. Today we will learn how to prepare Lamb shanks with roasted Freekeh. You can also use some other kind of meat if you do not want to have lamb shanks.

The meat you have chosen is first browned and then you have to cook it in water. Use this resulting broth to cook the freekeh. If you want you can also prepare this dish without using any meat into the dish because Freekeh itself is full of all the necessary minerals like iron etc. and serve as a very good substitute for meat.

Major ingredients you need:
  • Lamb shanks or any type of meat - 1 lb
  • Chopped onion- 1 large in size
  • Freekeh - 1 cup
  • Oil - 1/4 cup
  • Black pepper, Cinnamon or any other you want specifically - ½ tablespoon
  • Almonds- ½ cup
  • Pine nuts - ½ cup

Let’s see how to prepare? (Method)
  • Wash the freekeh under tap water and then soak it for some time.
  • Take a pan. Heat oil in it. Fry onion and meat in the oil till they get brown in colour.
  • Sprinkle all your choicest spices on the meat and then dip it under 4 to 5 cups of fresh water and keep this mixture on a sim gas flame. Keep it on the sim flame for 45 minutes or keep it until the meat gets completely cooked and the meat is falling off from the bones.
  • Now remove the meat from the flame and keep it aside. Remove all the bones or any gelatinous part. Take the broth and spread it through the sieve. Press on the onions to extract the onion pulp from it as much as possible. 
  • Drain out the freekeh and heat the tablespoon of oil in the pan. Now fry the freekeh until all the grains get coated in the oil. Now pour this meat broth over the freekeh and cover the pan with a lid.
  • Keep it on low lame and let it cook for 30 minutes or a little more if you feel that the grain has not softened yet. Add a little water if required.
  • Now place freekeh on the plate and then keep the lamb pieces covering the freekeh. Add roasted nuts on the top of the lamb pieces.
